A quick look at the USPS site revealeved a ????? $99.00 fee? Welcome to the World Newly Born, that'll be $99.00 just to come into this world in the United States. Social Security cards are still Free and,,,,,,,not mandatory until you show up at your FIRST New job??? ( was for me anyways,15) Can I see your Social Secrity Card? What's that? I got one.....)

I can't even leave Alaska and drive to the lower 48 until I re-new my passport. It expired in May. I can get out by plane only if it doesn't stop in Canada. Talk about feeling "cut-off".

ew, so you can ONLY see from Sea to shinnig Sea, if you have a Passport to come to AMERICA from Alaska???? I thought, NO! Next will be HAWAII!!!!!!

G,,,,,,if ONLY the Gov. could have seen in reverse,,,Let's make Alaska and Hawaii Only accessable with a U.S. Passports (which from what Alaska just repoted in)..all the Vietnam War Widows and Families would have to have had,,, a passport to get there. That times $99.00..Our Government working for US.

Aside from the fees involved, which might or might not be fair (I can probably argue both sides), it would never occur to me not to have passports for everyone in the family. Always. You never know.
