I was off line and not checking my Ebay messages (my auctions had all ended and all shipped off). I needed to do feedback so I sat down about 15 days later to find a nasty message from someone (sent 10 days after his auction closed) because I had not sent positive feedback immediately (this was not a newbee either). His email was full of profanity. I gave him negative feedback for the profanity. Should I contact Ebay or do more? It was kind of scary to get somone so upset & nasty over feedback. Made me want to quit doing Ebay afer 8 years and 100% good feedback. He even gave me good feedback after the auction! It was later to my email that he sent the really nasty note.

Since you already left a neg, just move on. It's not worth the hassle to take it any further.

This is good advice, let it go & try to forget it. He got what he deserved.

The reason he sent a seperate email is because they figure that eBay or you will do nothing. Had they used the language in FB they may have beened banned.
However if in the email along with the bad language the writer mentioned the words FB or eBay it might be enough for eBay to take action. One has to wonder if this rude behavior is typical or one incident, That is something we will never know.
If I were the recieptant of such an email I would indeed pass it on to eBay. They will decide what action if any they wish to take.
For certian the eBay community can do very well without buyers & sellers who resort to this form of communication. If no one complains this person will have the green light to do this again to another seller or buyer.

I did pass the info on to Ebay and they sent me a note today saying they have taken action (could be a warning, ban etc.) but they can't tell me what action they took. I see he is still trading so they must have just given him a warning. He sent another profane email and several harassing ones (and expected me to withdraw my negative - what an idiot)the entire time up until yesterday! Hopefully it will stop now.
