As the release of the new Iphone is today, I decided to search Ebay for one just to see who would buy it to sell on Ebay first. this is what I found.

How do I leave Feedback for a member who is showing as "not a registered user"?
The eBay Feedback system does not allow you to leave Feedback for someone who is not a registered user.
This doesn't necessarily mean that you will never be able to leave Feedback for the member. The item will remain in My eBay for at least 90 days, and if the member is reinstated within that time, you can leave Feedback for the member then. .
However, if the member's registration does not become active again, or if it doesn’t become active until after 90 days, you will not be able to leave Feedback for this member.
In addition, we don't recommend sending payment to a seller if they are not a registered user. If you've sent payment to a seller who is now "not a registered user" and you haven't received the item after a reasonable period of time, please file an Item Not Received dispute.
If a bidder has become "no longer a registered user" since winning your auction, don't send them the item until payment has cleared. If they don't send payment, you can file an Unpaid Item Dispute to claim your Final Value Fee. Since the buyer is unregistered, you'll be able to close the dispute and request a credit immediately.
Note: "Not a registered user" can refer to members who have cancelled their membership, or whose membership has been suspended by eBay. For example, a member whose correct contact information is no longer on file with us may have their registration suspended until the new contact information is entered. In either case, the member appears as "not a registered user" and is not allowed to buy or sell on eBay

Oh, and in case the entire civilized world doesn't know this by now, if you go to the Apple Store to buy your iPhone, you can get two. (Until they run out.)
Elsewhere, it's one per person.
To comply with the Pre-Sale policy, you have to take a picture of your actual iPhone and watermark it with your eBay ID. No stock photos allowed.
Maybe we should start an iPhone pool. When do you think the first legitimate listing will appear? I'll guess 6:03 pm PDT.

When I get in my car and go shopping or out to dinner or even to the park, I'm doing it to get away. I have Internet enough to keep me busy at home. I don't need it on my cell phone, too. I have that option on the phone I have. I've never used it and it's highly unlikely that I ever will. Like text messaging. I can say what I have to say quicker by talking than by trying to type it with the tiny buttons on my phone. IMO, anyone who buys it now when the price is going to be outrageous either has plenty of money to waste or they're really into being the first on the block.

Cheryl, I get where you're coming from but the price will probably never go down. Apple doesn't drop prices until they're ready to discontinue a product and move on.
I will be buying an iPhone. Why? It's more like why not. I'll be at the bank and a teller will say, "I hear you sell jewelry on eBay. What kind?" I can whip out the iPhone and show her. I can send her a link to my auctions, right there.
I can think of about a hundred other uses. I think the iPhone will pay for itself within a year.

I would be buying one, and will when ATT service is not required. That'll be somewhere towards the end of the initial 2 year contracts I'll bet. Apple will find a way to release the phone so that anybody can buy it and go find their own best service. ATT is virtually non existent here, although they'll be happy to chain me into a contract of course. ATT is the only thing I can find that really really stinks about iPhone so far.

We can't get service for the I-phone up in Alaska. However, I've got a pretty good phone with the HP I-pac. Nationwide phone and data package. I just got it a couple of days ago so I am still learning all the bells and whistles.

Several Iphones listed, some for $1500, are they crazy!! My local news has been covering the release and in most case only 3-10 people have been waiting in line. Go buy your own phone at an Apple store or ATT store!!
