I posted listings Sunday night at 8pm cst with no problems. Around 10pm , this message showes up in my ebay mail box:
To regain control of your account, please complete the following: .x .y .z
*********
Sure enough , my password has been reset and when I try to set up a new one, I can not do it. Contacted Live Help and they had to email me a password.
When I ask why my account was locked, they tell me it was a precaution. I ask if I did something to cause it? No. Did someone else do something to cause it? No
Why did it happen? It is just a precaution according to the rep.
Something sounds fishy to me.
Also, the message never arrived in my ISP mailbox. I wonder how I would have ever received the Alert had I not been logged into ebay and noticed the message beofre I logged out?

I didn't know they could do that. I don't think they should be able to do it either.
Sounds like they bypassed the regular procedure.

There was definitely something afoot but I can not understand what it may have been. It has been business as usual this weekend. No sudden increase in listings or in buying from the account.
It is my main seller's account. I am a power-seller and sell a standard product line through fixed priced listings and store listings. But then I did send several copies of a rather opinionated critique of the shipping manager to ebay last week <g>
BTW, the TKO notice finally arrive in my isp mailbox at 6:40
