I have no idea if this is accurate, but Post #1 on this thread has en explanation of the ebay server structure.

Yes, it's correct. eBay figured out a long time ago that they needed a scalable architecture to accommodate growth.

Each of my seller IDs is assigned to a different server. It just worked out that way.
For a few months one ID was split between 22 and 32, but that was just insane and they apparently did away with 22.

So that's why my first 2 digits changed! I used to be 22.

There's scalable and then there's scalable. The differences between 2 searches (e.g., one shows 100 items, the next 70, then 100 again) don't make me think they've figured this out.

Maybe they could outsource their data centers to Google

Oh great, I'm on 22. Does that explain why I have one week of thru the roof sales and then 3 dead weeks?

I kid you not. 70% to 80% of my stores sales occur in one week of the month. I can not define the pattern as to paydays, special events, etc. I've just learned to get other things done during the off weeks and dedicate the good week to shipping.

Last week was so worst ever. Only sold 5% of my monthly average for the whole week. Geez!

I have one store in the 1500s and one in the 1300s.

The 1500s sell primarily the first of the month and the 1300's run strong the end of the month.

There are so many variables that could influence sales that it is hard to say but it is a recurring pattern.
