The stores tab is now available along the top with Motors, Express and Categories on the Ebay site.

I guess I am glad about this but I wish they would have it land with search box or results instead of here:

As it stands, the stores tab is no good unless you have a featured store. For those who own regular stores (me), we're so buried we'd never be found.

I agree, Cheryl. For us it seems to be the same old...same old...invisible.

A few days ago after no store sales for almost a week we had three separate sales from Florida within a 2 hour period followed by one from Ohio.

We have not had one since! I have never really been a believer in the 'Server rotation' conspiracy but after watching our sales over the past 2 months I am beginning to believe.

Are you running auctions to drive traffic to your Store?

Yes, I run auctions too. Usually about 20% auctions to Store number and more in the winter months.

I took a break for a week while we had visitors and oddly enough the batch of sales came when we had NO auctions running!

It has been too darn hot to sit and list this week so I will do more auctions next week.

Not to rah rah for e-bay as they have nearly destroyed me with this where is Waldo search test, along with everything else.
But
The store tab,
today,
has a search window in it at the top that when you do a search, real items come up from the different stores.

They are in order by price, time, etc so it is every one in there in order.

It may work if they just leave it alone and don't try to improve it!

They sure are getting all excited about this over on the stores board. The store sellers need to start thinking like buyers, not like sellers. A new buyer who comes along has no idea what a store is, they might see the word "store" and think its like Sears or Walmart. Heck, even many of the non-new buyers probably have no idea what a store is. When I see things sell in core for a higher price than ones sitting in a store, that tells me the buyer is not even seeing the store listings.

When they raised the store final value fee to 10% that was supposed to pay for being in search. When they took stores out of search, they didn't lower the fee back down. This is what store owners need to push for, not some stupid one word link that no one is going to use.
