I was listing late last night, and decided to "call it a day! For some reason I see at the bottom of the auction page (where you schedule), the word "save" I clicked on SAVE , thinking I could easily find my auction in the morning. DUH! I have looked everywhere - in inventory and pending, etc. and I cannot find my auction. I did schedule it for 1:30 PM today. Because I NEED to fine tune the auction, I would sure like to find it ASAP! Can anyone tell me where a "saved" auction ends up in Venido! AS you can probably tell, I am not too computer savy -any help would be appreciated!!! MAny Thanks! DB

It should be in your pending. If not, check your active. Could you have accidently scheduled it for 1:30 AM? I've done that before.

Dazed: That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It took longer than normal for the saved auction to show up in pending, and meanwhile I was panicked thinking I'd have to do it all over again. It was a tough description that took me a long time to write.

Sorry for the late reply! You are correct Roadsmith! I am a very slow typist (Arthritis in my fingers) so rewriting an auction is not at the top of my favorite things to do! I do usually copy and paste my description,, just in case, but there is always a worry lurking in my poor old brain! This was one of those times! I have actually been reading the Vendio Community chat line for many years, and always notice you are all so helpful, and it is a good feeling knowing how nice and helpful you are! Thanks to you and Pixi, again! DB

Some descriptions are easy to write up. Some are really complicated and difficult. And it always seems that it's the latter ones that I either accidentally erase or that scare me when they don't show up right away in pending.

I write my descriptions on my computer in a "Note Pad" application and then cut and paste into my auction. That way I never "lose" it and I can edit the descriptions I have written previously to create a new one more quickly. I have descriptions for years in this little application.

Merrie: My husband has suggested I do what you do--write the descriptions on a notepad and then copy and paste.
I think there's something wrong with me; I know I have a very short attention span! Since everything I sell is unique, different from everything else I've ever sold, in 99.99% of the cases, somehow it's easier for me to get into Vendio, make the $$ decisions and category decisions for an item and write the description right then and there.
In almost every case, that works just fine. Just occasionally (perhaps once every 3-6 months) I lose a description by hitting a mystery key and have to reconstitute it.
I admire people who sell unique collectibles who would have the patience to write, then copy and paste the description, etc. I don't know what you sell, but you may be one of those.

Hi Roadsmith, I used to sell unique items almost excluively. Now I do sell items of which I have more than one or similar. Even for the unique items I still could use much of my phasing and just change the descriptions as necessary and could copy and paste my TOS with modifications. I also found it helpful when I found an item similar to one I had sold before, that I could find the old description and modify it and not have to start from scratch. I used to use Vendio, but now that Ebay has a scheduling function and Vendio changed their fees, I do not use Vendio, so maybe a lot of what I do in my "note pad" can be acoomplished via Vendio.
