I don't know how I can correct this in My Ebay - Buyer wants to pay me $725 s/h (he edited the ebay checkout)and by personal check no less (he's in France). He's a zero FB buyer - wonder if it's a nuisance thing? Ideas?

It may have had something to do with the fact that the French use a comma instead of a period ... so 7.25 with a 7,25 I think becomes 725.00. I may be wrong, but I think that's what happens.

Confirming that that's what will have happened. Most West Europeans write numerals that way except the British and Irish.

You are probably right - he filled what he thought was the purchase price in the spot where the s/h should go.

I know all about the way Europeans write numbers: once DH (Swiss) was bidding on stamps and accidentally filled in $ 25,000 instead of $25.00. I nearly had a heart attack (we share this id - he buys, I sell) and had to do a bid cancellation. The seller was very understanding.

Even French Canadians use the comma instead of the period. Just in case you run into it from Canadian buyers.
