I downloaded a photo program (corel), now my options for right clicking only give that program or all files, it doesn't say JPG, GIF or BIT. How do I change this back? I hate when these new programs assume you want them for everything.
IE allows me to save it the way I want but for some reason firefox has changed.

I don't think it has anything to do with Firefox. I installed PSP on my computer and now when I right click on a picture, my only option is to save it as a PSP file. The JPG, BMP options are gone. I would like to know how to fix it, too. I think it has something to do with your file associations in your OS.
If it's FF, I don't know where to change it.

I hate it when programs take your computer hostage. When I use IE, the drop down choices appear, such as jpg. In firefox, the drop down menu says paint shop pro xi, or it is blank. In my pictures, they are all opening in paint shop pro now. This is so annoying and the file extension says: paint shop pro. I have never had this happen before and I have already sent a couple of hours on this. I do not know what to do.

I googled "open with file assocition in Firefox" and got several results - here's one (you might Google too and see what you come up with) - hope something works! http://forums.macosxhints.com/archive/index.php/t-72010.html

You may have already tried changing this, but I think when you install programs, the programs rewrite what application you use to open certain file extensions. You can change this by going to "Control Panel" and click on " Folder OPtions"
Then you find the extension and see what application is set up to open that type of file. Then you can change to one of your choosing:
