Don't you wish that...
bidders could instantly place a bid by simply clicking a button, and to watch an item a bidder would have to 1) scroll down 2) enter a value 3) click submit 4) click a button to confirm they want to watch the item.
ebay was so much better before the watchlist feature.

Wishes really do come true One Click Bid on the eBay Chatter blog but be careful what you wish for. I suspect this will greatly increase the amount of whining emails that say "I did not mean to bid".
While you are seaching the all the great new "improvements" ebay is dreaming up, check this one out and sound off. Finding Playground

I am mostly a bidder now and I am here to tell you that the watch list greatly improved the amount of bidding I do. Early on I learned that in the categories where I bid only the newbie or non-serious bidder bids early. Sellers don't want to hear that but it is a fact of life in the categories I know well. Before the watch list I would make a bookmark of the auction and try to remember to come back before the close. Now my watch list is my home page and I see it every morning when I boot up. When the date is close I put in my eSnipe. I know I follow up on more auctions than I did before the watch feature.
I also like to keep an eye on the changing price and look for other things I might want to bid on instead. I may not be the poster child for the sellers' favorite kind of bidder but I bid high for things I really want and it is the price at the close that counts.

I just find it irritating that ebay makes it a process to make a bid, while making it so easy not to bid (encouraging to watch an item instead, etc).
