So just before all of you have the big one when you see the header on My Messages ...

I just about did.

Here is the copy:

*****

We're writing to tell you about an important announcement we've made concerning eBay policies and standards for seller performance. eBay is taking steps to protect the interests of good sellers like you and the consumer's overall experience on eBay.

First of all, we assure you that your current level of performance exceeds the standards. Congratulations and thank you.

Sellers are expected to perform in a manner resulting in a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction. If, over a 90-day period, a seller's interactions with buyers result in greater than a 5% level of buyer dissatisfaction as evidenced by negative/neutral feedback and/or Item Not Received complaints, that seller will be considered in violation of eBay's Seller Non-Performance policy. Note we're currently not including Detailed Seller Ratings in the enforcement of this policy since they're so new to the marketplace.

As a seller in good standing, you're well aware that buyer satisfaction is vital to your continued success -- and the continued success of eBay. Thank you for your solid track record and continued commitment to good customer service. We're confident that enforcing this policy will go a long way to keeping eBay a great place to buy and sell for you and for all our users.

Sincerely,

eBay Trust & Safety

Does this mean the corporation is ready to give me a raise? Other than a raise in blood pressure. This is why I left the real world, but I guess it's coming my way ...

Wouldn't it be nice if they gave stellar Sellers like you 50% off all fees for a month as a token of their appreciation.

Maybe you should reply with that suggestion...LOL

Interesting reading. Any one who is selling needs to know this:

All General Announcements- Seller Non-Performance

Drop below 95% customer satisfaction in any 90 period and you get a vacation. A few slow or lost shipments during the holidays could turn into a real nightmare for any one of us.

And yet, there is still:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=bargainland&ftab=AllFeedback

Happily chugging along, with one out of every ten buyers who left feedback leaving a neutral or neg.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

Even many of the positives are really negatives, just showing as positives.

Yeah all seller got same email, Every last one of us are ---------"""we assure you that your current level of performance exceeds the standards.""" SO it is just another form letter and we are all outstanding, but be warned too funny.. Sounds like a threat in a way. It also makes it easier for buyers to really mess with the sellers and That stinks....
