How did you fair? IMHO, it was the best one ever. I only put up relists but they still did well. I hope eBay offers more listing free with gallery days.

It's early yet and I haven't had my chai, but I won't know until the end of the day.

I had about an equal amount of fixed price and auction-style listings.

Doing ok - store purchases this week were definitely up because of the increased number of items running in core. As Martha says:"It's a good thing". But, as I feared, we are not getting relisting credits on relisted items that sell because the fee we paid was GALLERY and not LISTING (very sneaky of eBay).

I really don't think adding a gallery to my core items necessarily increased the sell through rate. If they have another of these, I think I will participate to a lesser extent and won't use relists to get my numbers up. I needed some motivator this time because I was only able to list a fraction of my usual core offerings with family in town etc.

Results are in:

Listed 100 items
Sold 62 listings, for a 62% sellthrough.

Total revenue from RPLD items: $730.96

Cost of goods sold plus fees and expenses: $232.32

Profit: $498.64

I could have wished for higher winning bids on some items but overall I'm pleased with the result.

Sold some non-RPLD items today too so the day has been a pretty good one.

50% sell through

I am not sure how I feel about the promo considering there is no relist available since it was FREE listing. Still, at least they tried something new.

I think that we probably will get the re-listing credit. Just for argument's sake, I clicked on Relist Now for one of my listings from this promotion that did not sell, and it says on the top of the page "You may receive an Insertion Fee Credit if this relisted item sells." I have not continued on to actually finish relisting an item though to confirm this, but at the bottom of the page above the listing price it also says "You may receive an Insertion Fee Credit if this relisted item sells." Thinking back (way back!) to the old free listing days, I think we got credit when relisting items that did not sell on FLD. Does anyone else remember?

The items I listed on the promotion were all relists and no, I did not get relist credit when they sold.

Oops! We're talking about two different issues.

You're right, we did not get the relisting fee credit for items that were relisted on the free gallery day. But for those unsold items listed for the first time on the free gallery day, it looks like we should get the relisting fee credit next time they are relisted.

Listing fee was $0, so what can you get back??? $0. There were not listing fees, it was FREE!!
