Just had to post it - I am sure there is no problem. This is a first for me. Sold 5 French postcards to a buyer yesterday and just noticed the address was French Polynesia. I had to Google to see where the heck it is ....Tahiti - Bora Bora. I wonder if they would consider hand delivery in January!

Actually, MOOREA is probably the most beautiful place I've ever seen, and the Tahitian people were the nicest folks I've ever met...but the FRENCH are...FRENCH
BUT: Fr Polynesia is extremely EXPENSIVE: a beer cost $10; a pack of ciggies was $10; and there is a huge amount of tension between the Tahitians and the French...
That AIR MOOREA plane that just crashed last week? -- that was the airlines we took to get from Tahiti to Moorea...tis only a 15 min flight, but it was the ONLY commercial air flight I've ever been on that had ONLY ONE PILOT!

EW to the cockroaches - rain I could live with (better than snow and -25 temp with -40 windchill). SIGH - guess I'll mail the package after all.

Well, it's the SOUTH PACIFIC...
8 hour flight from LA...8 hours south of HAWAII...
Just do NOT go during their SUMMER (our WINTER) as it rains and rains and rains (get the idea? IT RAINS)!
Very BEAUTIFUL place! Wonderful people (except the FRENCH)! One of the TOURS was to sit in a boat offshore of Marlon Brando's compound with binoculars (when he was still alive)...
BUT: the FRENCH put a 300% TAX on virtually EVERYTHING, and they grow almost NOTHING there -- everything is IMPORTED and is very EXPENSIVE!
We went CLUB MED which was an incredible BARGAIN back in 1989 -- doubt it still is.
We met some prominent locals (newspaper publisher & his family) and, the TAHITIANS are very SICK & TIRED of their FRENCH "masters" -- Kind of a very sad situation...

yea well we know the French suck to begin with
but I THINK Micronesia itself is a US protectorate? I wasnt sure how close that
was to where you went.I went to island of Tahati for lunch one day....or was that Long Island..
