I don't buy a lot on eBay, perhaps an item a week or so. Today's bid got this email confirmation message:

So far, so good! Your bid has been confirmed, and you are the high bidder.
It's almost yours, but you could still be outbid. You can improve your
chances of winning by increasing your bid.

Huh. I ALMOST like it!!
