I was notified in my e-mail that I've sold a book on Amazon. However, that sale isn't reflected in my seller account, anywhere. I've been all over the Amazon site and cannot find where to get help BECAUSE I have to have an order number for this sale, which did not appear in the e-mail I received!
I can't seem to find an Amazon discussion board anywhere. Does anyone know of one? I need to know if this is a site-wide glitch.

Correction: The Order ID # was in the e-mail Amazon sent, but when I paste it in on the Amazon site there's no such order. Stranger and stranger.

Phishing email, maybe?

I finally call the # for seller service at Amazon, and the problem was solved in 2 minutes. Seems Amazon is having a glitchy night, but the helpful fellow told me to go to "payments" in my seller account, and the information was all there.
Quick service, and I was very grateful. Very different from trying to get help from eBay.
(Yes, at first I wondered if it was phishing.)

roadsmith...I sell a bunch on amazon. For the past week or so, I would recieve the email that an item sold, and it would not appear in the seller account for a few hours or so. I have the one page favorited, seems to show quicker on that page. SELLER ACCOUNT - VIEW MARKET PLACE ORDERS.

I quit selling on Amazon. I get better prices on my stuff on E-Bay and Half.com.

Amazon is so iffy, isn't it! I've discovered that, if I can figure out the proper niche on eBay for a book (not necessarily in the Books category), it often will sell. Not for very much, but getting a book for 25 cents and selling it for $5 to $10 is still fun for me. And sometimes it brings a surprising amount.
With about 150 books listed on Amazon at any one time, I limp along reliably selling perhaps 5 - 7 a week. If I've had to lower the price on a book to a ridiculous level, I delete it from Amazon and attempt to sell it on eBay.
And vice versa. If I try eBay first and it doesn't sell, I'll look around on Amazon to see what's possible.

Did you find the Amazon discussion boards yet? If not, here's an address. Please cut and paste. I'm having yet another senior moment and have forgotten how to post live links again.

Thanks for that Amazon message board address! I've already gone onto it and found a problem I've had (thought I was the only one) discussed. Funny thing is that nowhere on the Amazon website could I find the message boards; probably just wasn't seeing it right in front of me.

You're welcome. I don't sell on Amazon but I do enjoy reading those boards. Sometimes the drama gets a little thick but I've learned a lot about books and selling in general.
