I have got to get a website up and running with as little hassle as possible and of course I want the most bang for the buck. Is anyone using either one of these eBay Pro Store or Vendio Web Hosting.

I'd recommend Valueweb:
http://www.valueweb.com/
They're the site I use for mine (check it out by clicking the link in my tagline). They actually use the ProStores shopping cart technology for the ecommerce end, plus give lots of other features. Plus, there fees are MUCH less than ProStores... (but you get all the same features!... plus some!)
Here's the plan I use:
http://www.valueweb.com/eCommerce/ws02.htm
It's a bit more expensive than Vendio's, but it has much more disk space (50GB vs. 6GB) and more data transfer (2000GB). I wanted to make sure that I chose something that I could grow with, since my product line requires LOTS of listings to be successful!
Hope that helps!

Why do you need to get a website up quickly and what will it be doing?
There are probably other options. We can guide you better if we have more info.

Fluff I have about 6,000 $1.00-$9.99 items. My Vendio store is only good for 4-5 items a month. I've been on eBay for 7 years sales are good but of course as eveyone knows the fees eat me alive.

Okay. Given that that is pretty much the same price point I'm working in, I guess I don't understand how fees could be killing you. We've gotten all sorts of fee breaks this year.
I doubt a web store will help you, though, unless you have a powerful method of driving traffic to it.

I read an interesting tid-bit yesterday .
It may or may not be worth a croak.
I am debating how to type this without breaking VD rules.
OK here goes -
This webby mentions a corporation.
http://buyitsellit.com
This does not mean it will be a "jumping toad store" in the fashion that VD has VD store .
As I said,It may or may not be worth a croak.
Just thought I would share.

Maybe the folks who have those highly successful Ecrater stores could comment.

Fluffy , I know I am not one to measure the success on any store. Here is my record on Ecrater .. NO SALES
I also do not have a VD store cuz I know folks that have them ,and they seldom sell off them. Of course there must be some that succeed.
So why waste what lil time I have to mess with it.
I know , I know someone will come along heralding their success stories on Ecrater and VD stores.
I do not have a eBay Pro store , do any of you??
Maybe I should sign on and see how I do at that .

I have had good results with the Vendio store since I signed up for Google Adwords.
I'm running behind with the listing of new items in both stores. There should be at least three of me.
Still, the Vendio store is beating the ebay store in sales. I think I will add the Yahoo Ads also.

interesting, I need to drive more traffic to my Vendio store rather then doing a website. Anyone else using Google adwords? Thanks for all the great input!

Yes, rather a lot of people are using Google AdWords.
Upside: It is effective.
Downside: It can be very expensive.
I have to bid more than 50 cents a click to have my ad come up in response to the keyword "sterling silver jewelry". I am competing against the biggies in the industry: Blue Nile and Bidz. They both have money to burn. I don't. So I don't bid on that keyword.
The only way you learn these things is by trial and error.
