It will be interesting to see how sales are affected. I was hoping that eBay would eliminate charges for Gallery after the promo. Boo Hoo!

Did it seem like items sold better for you when you were using gallery?

My sell-through rate improved in September but not enough to justify the extra $500/month it would cost to include gallery for every core listing. Pity!

My sells were good but not enough to justify .35 for gallery

I almost always use gallery. I guess I've been too chicken to try to sell without it. Of course, I don't list anywhere near as many items as pixiamom does.

Boy pixiamom - do you really do that many listing a month?? I could never handle that.
I always use the gallery, however, so the month's promote saved me in listing fees but cost me on sales.

I try to run as least 300 items per week - I need that many to drive people to my store. I start most listings at $6.94, another 35 cents to list is just too bigga hunk. I see Gallery as enhancing the buying experience - something EBay should provide at no (or at least a more tolerable) charge. Edited to add: postcards have a lower sell-through rate than other categories and I am competing against idiots who value their cards at $1.99 each.
