I knew this was coming - I am going to be on vacation Nov 2 -18th so no listing from Oct 23rd or 24th until I am back (will probably schedule some relists at the end, but too late for the fee sale )

For me, it's an OK deal, I guess, but not a worldbeater.

My usual insertion fee is 20 cents, so I guess it'll be 14 cents for a while.

I'm not complaining. Any relief is good. Free Gallery for the same period would have been stupendous.

Sounds like a good time to list my celebrity cards.

Listings must be down quite a bit over last year. Wonder why they chose 33% as a discount. I guess it is bait but are the final bids if any that people are receiving worth it?
I listed a few last week and the final bids are extremely disappointing. Way under what one would expect. Lots of watchers but only one or 2 bidders and the items I listed ( better made Am. Indian jewelry) are sort of one of a kind so I would doubt that the watchers have the same thing.

I am not in business actually.
I just collected a lot of jewelry and other stuff over the years and used Ebay to dispose of it. Also I moved to a small apartment with hardly any storage space and I hate clutter Whatever I get is probably more or close to what I paid for it originally if one does not factor in inflation.
Ebay used to be fun but that was when you got bids before the last few hours of the listing. Now I do not even check to see how things are gong. I just wait for the e-mail which lets me know if the item sold and if so for how much.

Anyway thanks for the reply and the link but since I am retired any sort of work ( including a business )is not in my plans.

Well I sold a bunch of 78 records last night and I need to fill that area of my store back up so this will help.

Turns out if you list for 99 cents or less, the insertion fee is 10 cents instead of 20.

50% off! Yippee!

These sales must be working exactly as ebay had planned, they make more $$$ but the sellers make less.

I just checked my Sales Reports for Sept. I sold a greater % of auctions due to the gallery sale, but didn't make any more money. Why? Because store sales are way down from the summer months.

So that allows me to post all the 99 cent I want to at half price. I have a ton of stuff in that range to sell.
