Does not interest me. Too late!! Maybe some high priced items will do well, maybe if it were FREE, but even then. If you do a 7 day, it will not end until the 20th. 5 day, you can do the math.
Bah, Hunbug!!

Sales usually stink for several weeks after these 20-cent listing days.
I'd rather see ebay do something more creative to attract buyers, instead of trying to get sellers to list mass items during such a small timeframe.

Time to list those $100+ items.
ebay makes most of their money on final value fees anyways.

Maybe it is just moi! Where is the negative? eBay is having a 20 cent sale for those who want to use it.
Food Lion is having a sale this week on Spiral Hams. I guess those who do not eat pork should protest.

Huh. I just listed my first item and it took 44 minutes for it to sell to the UK. Maybe I'll list something else while I'm hot!!

Now you see the results of eBay's end-to-end promotions. We have all come to expect a fee sale and for those of us who don't list much FP, we've gone back to paying full freight today. Ugh.
I was hoping for more of a break. It's better than nothing, but not much. Why? Because most FP items won't sell. Reduced fees on auction-style items (and most of those will sell) is much more useful.

I agree with Fluff on this one. Unless you sell high end items and expect people to buy them at this time of year and not be concerned that they will get them in time for Christmas, this promo misses the boat.
If you have a store, put them into the store. The listing is cheaper even if you add options like Gallery, etc.

Not true for everyone, unless you're just selling retail.
I buy all year round, Christmas or not, for inventory. And I'm watching one category to see what shows up today.

I almost never use fixed price. But today I ended a bunch of high priced store items to relist fixed price for those gift givers merrie mentioned.
Don't see a downside to this for these items
at this time, as they will now show up in Search for gift givers. Even if I sell only a few pieces, the difference is FVF between Store and Core is so large for higher ticket items that it will be well worth it. The store listings may be cheaper, but the store FVF are where eBay chews and swallows on my profit margin.
Next week I can rotate any unsolds back to store, but meanwhile, I at least have a better chance of selling them.
Probably would not bother ordinarily and definitely not on lower priced items.
Just my two cents.
Susan

Just a thought, it might be worth spending the extra 40 cents for a 10-day listing. When the 10-million (just a guess) items listed today end in 7 days, you'll have another 3 days to have your item listed when it doesn't sell. (we'll if it doesn't sell). Might be worth it for expensive items. More time to get watchers and maybe get on a pulse page.

You never know what is going to work. I have had a flurry of buying in the last few days although it was very quiet a couple of days before that. I listed a few items, high tickets, I chose 5 days listings to avoid the panic at the end. 10 days might be an idea because if it goes that long the buyer will have to know it is too late to panic!!
But, I think an extra 40 cents for an extra 3 days exposure is way too expensive any time, plus if you are doing FP, it seems the whole point is to get a buyer now, no watching and waiting. The price is the price so they either buy it or pass.

I'm listing. I usually find that my stores sales increase with more listings in core.
Testing this gizmo (IT WORKED!):

Then why not wait until three days after and list them for 7 days? You would get the benefit of having your listing show up on the newly listed pages above all of the other 20 cent listings. The 10 day listing option simply don't make any sense.
