I am sure you've heard this one before. A friend wanted to use one of my usernames to buy a lot of coins yesterday. He is good for the money so . . . . . .. Today I look and the guy has 45 negatives? Why is he still on ebay? I paid for the auction with PayPal before I knew about all the negatives. Do I try to pull the payment back or just wait things out? I would never have bid on this guy's stuff. sigh He is american2sell

Yikes! He's got 90 negatives this month (and only 10 previously).

All I can say is that you either need to educate your friend on feedback or you need to stop allowing others to use your ID. I wouldn't have touched this person's auctions. He's still on eBay because, believe it or not, he doesn't have the worst feedback on record. If you don't pay for this auction you risk the negative and an unpaid item strike. I would pay and chalk it up to a lesson learned possibly the hard way.
So sorry this is happening to you!

For example, this guy's negatives are nothing compared to bargainland. 2,734 negatives in the last 6 months. 90.5%.

Except that Bargainland's negatives are usually not INRs and many of his are.
What's sad is that he is still trying to hawk his "handfuls of coins" (which are obviously junk to anyone with an IQ over room temperature) and gullible people still buy them.
I'm not saying they deserve to be cheated but good golly Miss Molly there are sure plenty of warning flags flying here.

If you don't pay for this auction you risk the negative and an unpaid item strike.
So what!! It's better than losing your money all together. If you haven't had any other strikes in the past 18 months, then you have nothing to worry about. Then a negative. Again, So What!!!
I bet from now on, you don't give your password to anyone. Personally if I have someone that wants to bid on an item, I simply open a new eBay account for them.

This guy's FB in past month is more like 70% - much worse than BL's as Fluffy pointed out. Maybe it's the holiday, but with only seven items currently listed it looks like he is getting ready to throw the id away (only active since August this year).
Make sure your friend learns from this mistake (if indeed it turns out that way).

My friend has already given me the money for the coins so I won't be out anything, but I don't want the neg I will get if I withdraw the payment. If that is even possible. He used a username of mine that I don't use too much so it can't really handle the percentage of a neg.
What is crazy is my friend is a long, long time dealer. He's 58 and has been wheeling and dealing one thing or another for over 30 years. For crying out loud. He must have been pretty bored to bid on those coins. He would never have bid on them in a real life auction. sigh

He has no computer, no credit card, and someone that used to list things for him on Ebay ruined him and his son's name with Ebay. She should have been using her own username to list things. I think she was at first but Ebay booted her off because she bid on her own things. Now my friend doesn't know enough about the workings of Ebay to even begin to sort out what would have to be done to ever get back on. I list his things now and he occasionally watches my store in return.
