I bet they are paying him to stay around for a year so they can blame it all on him

Have you ever listened to one of these?

Participation is heavily moderated. There will be one, perhaps two, questions mildly critical of the dozens of changes eBay is foisting on us. You can be sure that the answers are pre-scripted.

Bill Cobb doesn't have to be courageous because he doesn't have to face live eBay sellers in the flesh. No one at eBay does.

I thought yesterday about putting on a sidewalk demonstration in front of eBay HQ in San Jose, but I know you guys -- you'll sign a useless petition or two, but you won't make any protest that involves actual money or inconvenience. So I don't see why I should give up a couple days pay, either.
