What are Vendio's plans regarding Sales Manager when eBay stops allowing sellers to post feedback? This major change in eBay's strategy was announced today, 2/7/08.

eBay is not stopping sellers from leaving feedback. It's stopping sellers from leaving negative or neutral feedback. Oops, I guess they may as well eliminate our leaving feedback.

What if a bidder would not pay or his check bounces?
What is Ebay going to do about it?

Suck it up. Part of business. File UPI on them. 3x and they're gone.
Right?
Now - the only way this works in the long run is to require some form of absolute ID to register or a required form of payment, ie. credit card or tie it to something else that isn't disposable.
If you tie the registration to an individual, they can't toss an ID and start another at the drop of a hat. Then, once they're tossed off for 3 UPI's, they stay off.
Right?

oh great... that really helps. i didn't realize sellers couldn't leave negative or neutral feedback as well. wtf???
i rarely left negative or neutral feedback... in fact, it was mostly used as a deterrant for bidders to frivilously leave negative feedback against sellers. it's like taking a nuclear option off the table. it is really the only tool that truly benefits a seller in avoiding uneducated, retaliatory bidders from screwing sellers over... especially when a bidder doesn't pay and their only option is to leave feedback. i most definately would have received negative feedback under this plan b/c a bidder refused to pay and i filed FVF. they can simply retaliate at will... which screws the sellers over in qualifying for their Power Seller Discount.
ebay presented this whole idea as if it is greater than god... as if our fees would go down... but what they are really doing is setting sellers up to fail so they can keep their 15% from realistically ever happening.

That is correct, shagmidmod.
Now every single auction will be vulnerable to feedback extortion by the buyer, for any reason, valid or not.
Even if you gave in to every crazy demand by a buyer, you could still get a big fat neg.

And in many instances, BAD ******s
It might be better if a buyer did not leave feedback at all!!

This has probably been posted, but I haven't seen it so I will ask my question.
Ok, a seller can no longer leave negs & neuts that I know, but what I don't know is can a seller reply to negs. For instance if a deadbeat negs me for filing for FVF can I reply under that, that they are a damn liar that never paid.
I never neg an NPB because of retaliation I just file & if I cannot respond to neg FB then I will want to think twice before filing for FVF on a NPB. This makes me sick & helpless just to think about it.
