I am thinking about opening a store with eCrater. Do you think it wise to use my EBay User ID or use a new one. Just wish I could carry along my feedback.

I went with a new ID for eCrater and will give the store its own addy as well. I have no particular reason for doing so, it is just the way it worked out.

If I was opening a store in a different auction venue, I would not use my eBay ID, but I would definitely use my eBay Store name. (They are not the same.)
I would want the chance of some name recognition from customers perusing the new
site.

It all depends upon your goals. Personally, I used my eBay ID. But then again, my eBay ID is the same at epier and ecrater. I also used it where ever I tried selling like Yahoo, bidville, auctionbids, and a few others I don't remember now.
My thought was to have the same ID so my customers knew that they were buying from me, no matter what site they purchased from.
If your concerned that your reputation on eBay isn't the greatest, then go ahead and use a different ID.
