Tornado-Damaged Bargainland Warehouse Now Victim of Fire

On February 11, 2008, a fire destroyed what was left of Bargainland's Memphis warehouse - six days after it had been
struck by a tornado. No injuries were sustained.

"Merchandise will be assessed and moved as soon as fire officials determine it is safe to clear the damaged warehouse."

Fire sale!

I'm sure those who are in need of new cruise wear are relieved.

I know it's been a long time since high school but plagiarism is still a no-no, Fluff.

P.S. When they come to your home in the middle of the night, drag you out into the street in your Bargainland underwear and shoot you in front of your beloved husband, THEN we can talk about fascism.

"I've always felt they were a little bit too fascist in their treatment of sellers and how people buy things and I think once the Internet becomes more and more perfect, it's hard to be the marketplace when the Internet is the marketplace."

Well, Ralphie feels she's a brain-dead ditz, and, I have to agree!

What a political system devised by a clownish newspaper editor in Italy back in 1915 has to do with feeBay is beyond me...

feeBay is a PUBLICALY TRADED company, and thus has a legally enforced duty to return the highest rate of investment for its shareholders -- this of course has nothing to do with us sellers...In fact, the two can often be mutually exclusive!

It appears to me that the new feeBay adminstration has made the decision to transform feeBay into just another boring AMAZON/WAL-MART/COSTCO, intent on driving the mom-and-pop "hobby" auctioneers off the site...

I predict that within the next 12 months, we can sadly expect the following:

1) PayPal as the ONLY payment method accepted (just like AMAZON PAYMENTS)

2) eBay determined S&H charges: you will be presented with a box to enter DIMENSIONS + WEIGHT, and feeBay will proceed to charge the buyer $8 and pay YOU $4 (or whatever) -- I'm sure they drool over the fact that AMAZON get a HUGE chunk of moola on every MARKETPLACE S&H charge...And, just like AMAZON, you'll be subsidizing the S&H because it NEVER covers even just yer POSTAGE!

3) eBay spinning OFF the AUCTIONS part of the site, and then killing it through inattention or even plain ole hostility...

START TO PROTECT YERSELVES NOW!

1) CREATE a non-eBay STORE ASAP PLUS and this is the MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO TO SAVE YERSELF:

2) LEARN Search Engine Optimization and apply what you learn to your new STORE...

"The times, they are a'changing..."

And, as ole Radical Ralphie intones:

"You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows..."

Last rumor I heard was that Amazon might buy eBay.
