PowerSeller Rewards & Standards
We're taking steps to give new meaning to PowerSeller status on eBay. Starting July, a score of 4.5 or more on all DSRs (based on the last 12 months) will be required for membership in the PowerSeller program. We will reward PowerSellers with fee discounts and other benefits for their record of excellent customer service.
PowerSeller discounts on Final Value Fees (or Transaction Services Fees)

DSRs of 4.6 or more (based on the last 30 days): 5% Final Value Fee discount
DSRs of 4.8 or more (based on the last 30 days): 15% Final Value Fee discount

Expanded seller protection from PayPal beginning February 2008

Protection for any shipping address, not just a confirmed address
Unlimited annual coverage, not just $5,000 per year
Global coverage, extended to 190 countries around the world

Expanded and Extended Unpaid Item (UPI) Protection Program

Expanding to single-item fixed price listings
Extending refund of Feature Fees permanently

SO ARE THEY SAYING THAT WE HAVE 4 MONTHS FOR OUR DSRs TO TAKE SERIOUS HITS FROM THE NEW FEEDBACK PROGRAM BEFORE THEY WILL GIVE US DISCOUNTS?

Not four months, only the last 30 days will count.

Why do you assume your stars will take serious hits? Aren't you a good seller?

According to Bill (RIP) Cobb the PS discounts go into effect earlier (July is when they kick you out of PS program with ANY DSR lower than 4.5):

Fee Discounts
Let's start with the fee discounts for PowerSellers ... Beginning with your April bill, we're offering two levels of discounts for qualified PowerSellers that will be based on Detailed Seller Ratings you have received over the last 30 days:

* For those with a 4.6 and above on all four DSR criteria, we'll give you a 5 percent discount off your final value fees.
* And for PowerSellers with a 4.8 and above, the reward is even better: 15 percent off all of your final value fees.

Does that mean they are AVERAGING the STAR values?

probably shouldn't even reply....

Zippy....if you have say...100 DSR entries for the past 30 days...and get 9 points less then "perfect"...all discounts are gone. 7 points and you not see the 15%. So, out of 100 buyers...it would only take two or three to leave you an "average" rating of 3 or 4 and discounts are gone.

Now if they would let us "keep" our running total, it would be much harder for those 3 or 4 buyers to really affect our ratings. Especially if you have gained 1000s since this system started.

Again...how clear is it on;

#1 what tomwiii says...averaging the four DSRs....probably

#2 what happens if buyers responds to only 3 out of the 4 DSRs?

#3 Based on the last 30 days....WHEN? the day your invoice is generated, or the week later when they deduct the fees...or even maybe waiting til your % goes under, then say it doesn't qualify...

I guess I don't understand the point of mourning something in advance. Especially when you are mourning something that hasn't even been implemented yet.

You can still make money. Raise your opening bids or pad your s/h fees and tell the discounts to shove off.

Don't forget ONLY powersellers get these discounts so you still have to average $1000 a month in sales as well.
I have 3 ID currently but my plan is to combine my 2 selling ID's. I really hate doing it but my little second ID will never been seen again anyway.

ladyjewels2000...I finally hit the silver level a couple of months ago. I also use a couple of IDs, second one isn't a powerseller and was thinking of combining. For now, I will probably leave it and see how these prices/fees/feedback all work out.

I remember reading somewhere that they were no longer going to allow sellers to combine id's. I tried to find information about this on the help pages but the links went nowhere. They must be revising. You might want to do this sooner than later (if it is still allowed) - maybe try to get an answer on it.

thanks neglus...

WOW.....

"I thought it was done through email."
"I see due to the low usage of the merge feature they did not mention it, we are just supposed to inform members when they inquire. I apologize for that inconvenience. I thought they emailed alerts for every change, especially for established tools on the site."
"The help pages are being mended."

live chat.....

again WOW...well I guess I add on another weekly task....that would be printing up eBays policy and procedures ...
wait...that wouldn't work..the links are there, but are INVALID...
