I know that if you are bidding on eBay, as a bidder, eBay can automatically send you a text message when the item you want has been outbid.
But, as a seller, is it possible for eBay to send you a text message when someone has just bid on one of the items you are selling? I have looked, but don't see anything like that. I would love that feature.
Also, I was hoping that eBay pages has links to RSS feeds so that when anything changed on my "My eBay: Selling" list page, I would automatically get an RSS email telling me that page has been updated. But I don't see a little "RSS" symbol in the corner of eBay pages.
1) Are any of these things currently available?
2) And if so, do any of you take advantage of them?
3) Do any of you monitor your eBay selling lists on an iPhone while on-the-go? If so, any applications or handy tips to offer?
4) Finally, please share tips in general on keeping up with checking selling lists while away from the home computer.
It sure would make mobile life even easier.
This could be a fun topic. No I'm not a secret author looking for tips for the next "Make a MillionSelling on eBay" book, I'm just a gadget-loving, Mac computer geek, iPhone carrying, lowly seller on eBay who just wants to see if he is missing out on any creative ideas for checking my sales while on the road or elsewhere.
Thanks guys.

I can answer the pre question. Ebay does not have the option to notify you when a bid is placed on your items. Epier does and it works pretty good there. IMHO the reason it works there is because of the low volume of sales that actually happen there.
If eBay had it, I'm not so sure it would work because of the volume of bids that you would receive, it might simply clog up your e-mail box.
Can't answer #2 & 3.
#4, I usually don't have listings running when on vacation, however I do check my listings from other computers like when I'm at work.

A few years ago there was a 3rd party service that would periodically (every 15 minutes or so) send you an email that showed which items had a change in current price (or had sold). If there were no changes, no email.
IIRC, they went out of business around 2004/2005, or decided no longer to support the feature.

I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS PRODUCT, AS I HAVE NOT TESTED IT. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Having said that, I understand that this will send out notifications (I don't know what flavor) any time something changes in one of your auctions.

Auction Sentry is a popular and easy-to-use eBay sniping program that also provides a few useful sellers' tools. Despite relatively few features, it is well designed, nicely documented, and a breeze to learn.
When you launch Auction Sentry, it builds a list of auctions from your eBay Watching, Selling, and Bidding lists; you can also add entries manually. Your auctions are organized into a table that displays information such as item numbers and descriptions, bid statistics, and the remaining time of each auction. To set up a snipe, specify an auction, a dollar amount, and the time you want your bid to post.
Auction Sentry also offers handy features such as profit tracking, which projects how much money your auctions will net. And programmable alarms notify you of activity in any auction you're tracking.
