Hi all, I participated in the boycott because my gall bladder decided it did not want to be part of me any more. Long story and long week..but it is gone now and I am trying to get back to work. I have a couple of things I need help with. The first two items are a Sterling ring and a small pin with the letters GR. Both pieces are tiny as you can see in the picture with the dime. I can't place what the GR would represent. The other pieces are plastic pieces with a pearlized layer that has hand painted flowers. They measure approx 4 1/4 inches from the 'tail' to the outside of the circle. The circle is approx 2 1/8 inches across. My first thought was napkin rings? Thank you in advance.

Can't help with the GR stuff but it rings a bell with me too.
As for the napkin ring thingy - they look like they are celluloid. They look like they could be napkin rings and the tails may have something to do with place setting cards?? I'm just guessing.

Thanks! I was pretty sure they weren't Bakelite but did not think about celluloid. I bet if I list them the buyers will tell me!

I had some table cloth holders (to keep the tablecloth secure outside for example) that looked like your "napkin rings". The straight part went on top of the table and the curly-q part went underneath.
Here's an example of this sort of thing (though not nearly as beautiful as yours).:

Maybe. Could have held a dresser scarf on a dresser for decoration. They look almost Victorian but I am sure they are later than that. Thanks.
