I'm not a big fan of his, but this doesn't really bother me as much as "official misconduct." I'm much more bothered by someone sending government contracts his friends' way, getting rich off poor people's suffering.

Like I used to say about Bill Clinton: if my daughter brought him home as a date, I'd shoot them both. OTOH, I was happy to vote for him.

I agree with part of what you say, Cash -- but I would have to draw the line at illegal activity (no matter the law) while in office.

Immorality isn't something I judge a politician on - because I think it might be genetic and few with any morality get into politics at a state or federal level <smile> -- but, while in office, ya shouldn't knowingly break any laws... That should be a standard we all insist on for our political leaders.

At least I do not see how, he will be allowed to hold the office.. no matter how many times his wife kisses and embraces him in front of the cameras.

Immorality is different than illegal activity , this falls into both category's.
Not the first time illegal activity has come up concerning him.

What does being involved in a prostitution ring mean? Used their services (not the end of the world) or profited from the organization (huge problem with that)? I must have missed the part about $5.50/hour? (or I don't get the joke?)

Neglus, that figure is $5,500.00 an hour. Holy Cow! Must be a very talented woman. Normally, these sex "scandals" don't bother me, however, he was caught on tape as Client #9 in a Federal Investigation of this prostitution ring, said to be tied to organized crime, and he he was able to order up a 7 star girl (they were rated by stars) to be transported to him in Washington, DC. Arrangements were made to eave a key for her. Just too damn blatant and illegal.

Two things bother me about this: One, Spitzer was another holier than thou type who came in to office like gangbusters. He used state police to get the (personal) goods on his political enemies (and he has plenty.) He made many enemies as Attorney General, not for prosecuting criminals, but for uncovering personal secrets of his targets with great glee.

Second, I personally don't want someone this dumb running my state.

Coach,

It is ALWAYS the holier-than-thou types who get caught dipping their pen in the wrong inkwell.

AFAIK, there are no allegations of misconduct beyond using the allegedly illegal services of highly-paid models.

I can't prove it, but my guess is that if you want the 7-star model, your tastes probably differ from the mainstream a bit (generally, the higher paid are more exotic in deed rather than looks). Based on his nature, my guess is he likes to play harsh schoolteacher or corrupt INS agent Allegedly.

Cash--You read my mind! That was the first thing I said to my husband when we heard the news report. At $5,500 an hour, you are not looking for routine sex.

I have not heard any accusations other than using the services of these "models," but stay tuned.

At that height, she is probably not a runway model.

I heard she used to have 10 Stars for her DHR (Detailed Hooker Rating) - but those damn politicians dinged (no pun intended) her stars so they could get a discount the next time around.

I guess she should have educated her "buyers" so that they knew better how to "rate" the experience. Afterall, I wonder if her employer pays her based on those damn stars?

And who knows what she'll have to do to get her stars to go back up to 10 again.

Then it really is like the DSRs. Is there really a 5?

And, if a DSR falls and no one is there to see it happen - did it make a sound?

So much to consider...

In addition to adding to his "running account" with this service, he apparently violated the Mann Act, by having the lovely Kristen travel from New York to Washington, D.C.to render her services. And, before resigning, he is looking to make a deal whereby he won't be prosecuted by the Feds. Good thing he was once the New York State AG--he is familiar with the ins and outs of squirming off the hook.
