I had read a long time ago a discussion between a few members about being paid to take Surveys. What company were you talking about? I came across a site that says they will pay you to do surveys via your PayPal account. Being the way things are today, I am a little skeptical but recalled the conversation about getting paid a few bucks to take some surveys. It is yourfreesurveys.com.
Thanks for the input.

I also do BzzzAgent.com and you don't get money but you get some nifty free products for writing up at least 3 little Bzzz reports for each campaign you sign up for. The Sonicare toothbrush worth $149. was my favorite. I also just got through trying out the new Dual Head Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner and I have to admit I really like it. I passed on the Soy milk Campaign, didn't get in on the Glade candle campaign in time and also missed the American Express Plum Card.
Somewhere in between these two ACNielson also sent me an invitation and I'm still hoping to hear from them.
What I can't believe is how many free magazines you can get! Last week Hallmark magazine offered a years subscription, I just signed up today for a free year of PC Mag, I get Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home & a years subscription of TV guide.

Thanks for the information. How did you get to join the PineCone group? Was it through the yourfreesurveys.com site? They have a login on the PineCone site but not how you become a member.
Thanks!

Glassgrl: Do you still have your copy of Elle Decor from December 07? If so, I wanted you to know that the cover picture and story of Mike Clifford's house up here in Idyllwild was on our historical home tour two years ago. It's really gorgeous; he's an adman in New York City who has a place here. ~Adele

don't think I do - hope you didn't want it
I usually donate my magazines to the public library monthly and they resell them. I have to admit I've really enjoyed the Elle Decor magazines.

Just FYI I tried Pinecone briefly. What got to me were the innumerable "free" surveys you filled out so that they could find "what kinds of products you used." Took just as long as the "paid ones" and I really felt it was an underhanded way to get information but not paying for it. If it would have been simple as in "got a dog?" or "use room fresheners?" I wouldn't have minded.

Someone posted pinecone research here. I gave it a try. It hasn't been a real big money maker but it is fun. I average 2 surveys a month. My age makes me a good candidate for casket and embalming fluid mfg'ers.

I wish I could send you my Neilson people, Glassgrl. They have been trying to sign us up for months now. I made the mistake of filing out a short (one page) survey that they sent along with a chunk of cash to our home. I wasn't going to send the cash back and I felt like it was a fair trade. The survey was about foreign language television. We do watch some but only over the internet. I never told them our names but I guess they don't care about that, lol, They have been coming by several times a week and they even bring gifts such as sets of dishes, flowers and boxes of See's Candy.
There is no way in he#@ I would ever participate and I have told them several times that but they keep coming. I don't even open the door anymore, they just leave the gifts and the literature and hand-written, begging notes on the doorstep.
They said they would pay us $450 for two years or something like that but if they screw up your TV in the process of hooking up the box, they only pay half the repairs.

AdPerk also offers 'free' magazine subscriptions in exchange for watching a few commercials.

I take surveys, I enjoy them and get points that I can convert to restaurant gift cards, Paypal money, blockbuster, etc. Sometimes if you qualify (fit their profile) they sent you products to test and then pay you when you are finished. One paid $30 and free goods.
The 2 best that I use are Lightspeed and Harris Polls. e-rewards sometimes gives you free magazines subscription.
Other that I used to participate in used to give tangible rewards now just give you credits into a sweepstakes drawing.

gas - I never thought about the hospital. but then.....I visit the library every week but not the hospital
the library uses the money to buy more books so I figure it's a win win situation.
if I die instead of flowers etc I've requested a donation to the library. to me the library and their services are one of the greatest things going.
