Bill - I took on an estate as a TA. The woman (in her 70's) is getting rid of items that were her mother's, father's and husband's. Her father collected stamps and there's a good size collection here. From what I've seen there are stamps from the late 1800's through the 1950's including first day covers. Should I sell this as a collection or sell each book individually? I don't have the time it would take to research every stamp since this is a rather large estate and I have another one I'm doing, as well. Is there another way you'd recommend? I do intend to research what they've sold for on EBay.
Thanks!!!!! I don't have photos yet. Just brought the van load of stuff home.

Cheryl, when your a TA on an estate sale do you ever offer to buy any of the items outright?
(for yourself, something you really like, not for later sale on eBay)

Zippy - I'm sure Jane is not telling me to shill.
Jane - I have bought something outright. I bought two pairs of the shoes I have up from the person I'm selling them for. I just couldn't resist them. This woman has me selling Hummels, which I love and a S&P shaker collection. Another weakness. I've had to put the blinders on! LOL!
