I ship everything via USPS and when the packages do not fit into my mailbox,I schedule for pickup.
Been doing this for years and no problem .
There is a certain USPS worker ,she came around one day and asked to use my restroom, fine,no problem, she spent too much time in my bathroom and there was no toilet flushing.
A month later, the same postal worker (if she is still employed with USPS),came to the door to pick up packages.
I told her I did not request a pickup, but she insisted the post office sent her .
Hind sight said I should have asked to see the pickup schedule, they usually carry a list of all the addresses where they should stop and pickup and if there is any misunderstanding, they will wave the sheet , #*!@ and moan .
So,just something to keep in mind, how do we know the person who picks up our packages is still employed with the post office?
With so many contract workers driving their own vehicles, how can we tell if he/she is a postal worker?

I left out a piece of information,I cant locate an 18k carat gold ring around the house, but I dont think it is fair to blame her .
But I was in the front room and she could go from bathroom to my bedroom.
We have contract workers, once someone asked for water. So if another asked to use my bathroom,I just obliged.
Now yesterday, another contract worker whom I have not seen for quite some time delivered a package and she was driving her own car which has 2 signs ,one is post office and the other one is her side business!
She said she wants people to know she is legit-AKA she works for the post office so she has a post office sign.
Go figure,what next??

Determine the closest public bathroom (usually a fast food restaurant) to give to any stranger that wants to use your bathroom. Also, be careful of servicemen that want to meander into other rooms - my Mom had an antique snuff bottle disappear around the time she had a refrigerator installed - one workman stayed with the appliance - the other kept wandering through the house. I've often seen USPS cars stopped at McDonalds and suspect this is where they relieve themselves. Certainly not in homes.

Comcast is coming over tomorrow to replace my modem. When I am awaiting a visit from a service person, I turn on all the lights in the bathrooms and I close the doors. If they ask to use the bathroom, and they usually do, I tell them that a family member is taking a bath at the moment so no, they'll have to pee elsewhere.
Even if you don't have to worry about Comcast or USPS drug thieves, you should never keep your medicine in the bathroom because it is compromised by the dampness and the steam. Keep it in a dry room instead.

It's just too scary these days to allow people you don't know into your home. My Avon Dist. Mgr doesn't even go to the homes of new reps. She meets them at McDonald's or Wendy's. I think it's a terrible shame things have come to this. Hwahwa, you did a kind thing. . .just please don't ever do it again! We'd all hate to see anything happen to you.

This is not a new occurrence. My husband had a watch stolen when we had a repairman in the house and that was 20 years ago!!
And, when selling a house, the buyers meander through your house and the real estate agent wants to give them time alone, things can go missing. We had a roll of stamps -100- vanish.

And there are folks who wander through the builder model home and help themselves with towels, magazine rack, soap dish etc to decorate their own home.
