Hi All,
Has anyone had any luck selling on Overstock? A friend of mine who sells books claims that he does OK! If you do sell, what do you sell and how much competition do you have.
TIA,
Mama

There is a seller who sells some really nice antique books on Overstock,is that your friend?
He would have gotten more $$ if he sells those books on Ebay.
The best way to find out is to list a few items.
I sold a few hundred small items on Overstock, most were sold in the first few months when it was launched.
If the bidder does not want to pay, there is not much you or Overstock can do.

I tried overstock when they first started auctions. Sold a handful of items, but the listing fees were a killer. The main problem is the STR. It was simply too long to justify listing there. If Overstock were to go to a no-listing fee with a higher FVF, I would be there.

What is STR?
Listing fee for item $9.99 or less is only 10 cents and no fee for gallery and pictures are better, but the drawback is no payment method and those bidders are Overstock customers and they thought you have charged their credit card on file ,of course we have no access to their Overstock account.
Now most of them have paypal account.
I think back then Fluffy was having some problem with Ebay and she found Overstock and started listing her silver jewelry there.
There is really no place to sell except Ebay or if you sell new items-AMZN or Yahoo.

The problem with Overstock is that the bidders are their customers. If you do not shop on Overstock, then you will never find out they have an auction.
And their customers are more interested in dishes, glassware, bedspreads, lamps ,dvd etc.
