I almost always, after a few days of not hearing from the buyer, send an e-mail with "SECOND MESSAGE, PLEASE REPLY" in the title. That gets them every time. I've only called one buyer in 8 or 9 years, and that's because I'd mistakenly given her a neg and wanted her to know I was going to take care of it.
Of course, that's back in the days when we COULD leave a neg for a buyer, LOL.

Many years ago, I did have to call one bidder. Like roadsmith, I've found that the "SECOND NOTICE" (in all caps) works like a charm.

I have never called a buyer and I never intend to. I don't send reminders and I don't send invoices since the invoice comes from ebay so the buyer could pay that way.
When an International bidder asks for an invoice showing the shipping cost for them then I send the invoice, but I do not send the invoice till they contact me.
No matter what the amount is I figure if they pay great, if they don't pay I file a NPB.
I've been doing it like this for 10yrs with no problem.

I used to call,it does work, most end up paying.
Now with Ebay three strikes you are out system, most of them pay,so no need to call.

I called a bidder one time a few years back because she kept paying me over and over....like 10 times. It was a mess. She went out of town and her brother bid on a bunch of items (like 25 items) and she was having to pay everyone when she got back because he didn't have a clue. Sweet little old lady in Georgia.

Since we are doing business on the internet, I figure an e-mail is sufficient. If they don't respond via e-mail, then no sense in me getting wacked with long distance charges.
