Sorry to be a bother...Today has been kind of like starting all over again. I don't seem to have the solutions for anything.

Sold a widgit...EBay's sold item notice to me has one address for the buyer and the PayPal payment from her has another. I've tried for 3 days to reach her for the correct one and she doesn't respond. Would it be safe to assume the PP address is the correct one or am I playing with fire? Thanks again.

Did you ask her on eBay's mail system?

If you're not a seller with sufficient volume to have a "get out of jail free" card from PayPal's requirement for shipping only to confirmed addresses, I wouldn't ship anywhere else.

I wouldn't ship until I had an answer, or, ship to the PP address.

I did use the ebay mail system all 3 days but no answer. Not sure about the volume thingy re: getting out of jail free.

Ship only to the PP address and use a delivery confirmation. Otherwise you're screwed. Want to get the buyers attention? Sent a report to ebay that her ebay address is different from her PP address. Ebay will go crazy with that one. You will hear from the buyer right away as ebay will threaten to close her account for a bad mailing address.

The "get out of jail card" is a new thing PP provides for high volume sellers. I think you have to be a PowerSeller. In that case, if you sign up, Seller Protection extends even to non-confirmed addresses.

Why are you even looking at the address on eBay? It means nothing. The address they give you when they pay is the bible. Whether it be from PayPal, Google or a personal check. That is the address to use.

I would do as capolady suggested - try to wait til you hear from her.
I had this happen and almost lost the whole sells as it was returned to me by the post office. Once that happens - paypal WILL refund their money plus shipping regardless of what address you ship it to. Not fair but it's a fact of life (in paypal land}.
Cash - "get out of jail card" is that for US shipments as well?
I signed up but must admit I thought it was only international.

Lady, it appears to be US also, but note that it says "address the buyer provides them THROUGH PayPal."

* No more confirmed address. Merchants can ship to whichever address the buyer provides them through PayPal whether it is confirmed or not.
* No more coverage limit. The coverage payout limit under the Seller Protection Policy is $5,000 per year. Expanded seller protection has no limit.
* Coverage in more places around the world. Coverage is now extended to the 190 markets supported by PayPal, so merchants can ship to customers wherever they are.
* No additional integration required. Merchants won’t need to go through any additional integration steps or change their checkout experience to take advantage of the additional protection.

The changes will take place first with eBay power sellers in US, UK, Canada and Hong Kong

I would try to get in touch with the buyer to confirm. But I would mail to the paypal address and discard the ebay one, if you don't hear from them. Some sales have to be complicated, don't they?

"Sent a report to ebay that her ebay address is different from her PP address. Ebay will go crazy with that one. You will hear from the buyer right away as ebay will threaten to close her account for a bad mailing address."

You do not know if her PP address is different than her eBay address as we are allowed to have three different addresses on eBay (payment, shipping and registration) and only one is shown to the seller at the end of auction.

Edited to add: Ideally, the PP address and the eBay shipping address should match but it is not necessarily grounds for a NARU if they do not.

What is the difference between a confirmed and a verified address?

What does it mean to be Verified in the U.S.?

Verified status means you have confirmed your bank account or been approved for the PayPal Plus Credit Card or PayPal Buyer Credit.

What is a confirmed address?

A confirmed address is an address that has been reviewed by PayPal and found to be safe based on information related to the address. For example, a credit card billing address is confirmed because PayPal can check that the address is the same as the address on file at the credit card company.

PayPal provides confirmed addresses to help sellers make informed decisions when shipping goods. As a general rule all accounts have at least one confirmed address and using an account will help increase the number of available confirmed addresses in the account.

hate the laziness of not having a complete address;

latest one--- 12485 Hy 171

ok...HY is probably highway...but still didn't work..had to add STATE HIGHWAY

time consuming when doing several packages...lately I will delay that package 1 day.
