I've got a large mirror that I want to sell - it's 33x26x4 inches - will this go international? I always have a problem with the length plus girth etc. Due to the structure of the mirror, I pack it 34x27x8 for shipping without fear of breaking the mirror.
I know some internationals go up to 108" total so I think this would be OK.
TIA

International is country specific. Not all international will go at 108 inches. It's best to go to the USPS website and use the calculate shipping, then specify international and pick your country. From there, you can click links to get you that info.

I think I'd carefully reconsider shipping a large mirror internationally. Even with great packing, I would think the odds of it arriving safely would be low. Just a thought...
This is for the UK. Remember that the 108" is LENGTH plus ( 2x27" ) plus ( 2x8" )...so you are at 104" right there.
You take your longest "side" for length then run a tape measure around the rest of the box to get your "GIRTH".

The mirror part isn't that important - it's the frame which is steel, that I think is desirable - of course I would want both to make it safely. I would add 3 inches to the back and just pad inside the frame for the front of the mirror. Then use edge protector around the whole thing. Here a photo so you can see what I mean. I think I could pack this safely for international shipping. This is the type of item that could sell much higher with international bidders involved.

Just a prop Zippy. I have photos without it in my listing, so they won't get confused.
Hollywood Regency are good tag words. Glad I thought it.
