Has PayPal raised there fees?? For a 23.00 item they want 1.12 to print the label. Has it always been this high and I'm just waking up??
If I don't print the label on PP and use USPS I guess I don't get the 1.12 charge??

Paypal charges to accept money, not to print a label. I couldn't tell you what that fee is. The only thing it can be is for accepting someone's payment.

are you trying to print shipping label or packing label?
if shipping label, then the fee is from USPS,not Paypal.

hwahwa,I was going to print a shipping label, I know it does not cost that much on stamps.com to print a label I have used stamps.com for years. It is the cost of postage and the fee for which ever plan you have each month

Okay, I'm really confused now. I've printed shipping labels from PayPal for quite a while and haven't seen evidence of any fee from USPS for the privilege. Are you all sure about this??

There is no fee to print postage on PayPal!!! I just did several of them. The only fee is the fee you pay to accept payment. I tried both the USPS site and PayPal with labels dated for Monday. . .same rate.

That's 5% not 10%. 10% would be $2.30. It also depends up on what kind of account you have. I get charged about 3.5% - 4%.

ANYONE PRINTING POSTAGE for MONDAY...might want to wait until eBay and Paypal get with the NEW prices. I just went through and set up a print label for MONDAY and the OLD postage is still there. That will mean A LOT -- A LOT - A LOT of POSTAGE DUE at the buyers end!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carrier: U.S. Postal Service
Service Type: Priority Mail® (2-3 days)
Package Size: Package/Thick Envelope
Dimensions: 6 x 5 x 2 in.
Actual Weight: 0 lbs.4 oz.
Mailing Date: May 12, 2008
Purchase USPS®
Shipping Rate
Package Cost: $4.60 USD
Delivery Confirmation: Free
Total Shipping Cost: $4.60 USD
This is gonna be a great week to improve those DSRs.....NOT!
Tried the STAMPS.com and the NEW prices are there, which is good. I can go ahead and print postage today and tomorrow. ALSO...the discount is there...small but will add up to more then the DSR discount. 1 lb box $4.75...so at least 5˘ on every package.

LOL.....from Paypal....
I understand the dilema you are facing. I would recommend
printing the label and then taking it to the post office to double check
postage before sending it off.
Beginning May 12, 2008, the U.S. Postal Service will make changes to
their rates for the U.S. and abroad. PayPal and eBay have been actively
working to make the transition to the new rates and services as smooth
as possible.

That's because it neither Stamps or PayPal's discount. It is the USPS discount, just being passed on to the others. If you print from the USPS site instead of going to the PO, you will get the discount just as it was announced a while back.

HELP! HELP! HELP!
Me & Ralphie are CONFUSED big-time about all the options available...
We use STAMPS.COM only because er're too lazy to learn new tricks?
As far as I can tell, these are the options:
1) USPS Click-N-Ship:
FREE, but you can ONLY print postage for EXPRESS MAIL or PRIORITY MAIL -- NO other classes are available...
Is that CORRECT?
2) USPS Shipping Assistant:
Prints labels for ALL classes, but does NOT print any postage?
Is that CORRECT?
3) PayPal Postage:
It is FREE?
I have never used!
Does it enable one to print postage for ALL classes of mail???
4) STAMPS.COM and ENDICIA:
Enables one to print postage for ALL classes of mail, but yer stuck with a $15.99/month FEE?
If PayPal Postage is FREE, and ya canh print ALL classes of mail, then WHY stick with STAMPS.COM or ENDICIA?
I DO like the STAMPS.COM software -- kinda POSTAGE for DUMMIES!
THANK YOU!
Tom & Ralphie

Well,it is not possible to use Paypal to print label if your buyer did not pay you via paypal.
Also Paypal does not offer overseas first class mail, only express and priority.
But there is no monthly fee for using Paypal to print labels, whethere shipping or packing labels.
