I want to change the name of the bank in my google account, after I entered all the information and press enter,it tells me the page I am looking for is not found.
If I keep trying,it will then lock me out for an hour or so.
I thought may be it is me,so I upgraded IE to version 7,no luck, then I used Mozilla/firefox,same problem.
There is no phone support for Google merchant service, only email support.
Anyone who can help me,what did I do wrong?

To change your bank account:
1. Sign in to Google Checkout.
2. Click the Settings tab, then click Financials.
3. Click Change account . . ..
4. Enter your updated bank account information in the appropriate fields, making sure your bank name, account type, account number and routing number are exactly as they appear on your bank statement. (If you need help locating this information, please contact your bank representative.)
5. Click Save financials.
After you add or change your bank account information, you'll be asked to complete a verification process for security purposes.

Google checkout is ice cream compared to PayPal's screwed up system.
I have been pulling my hair out this week because of the many problems with PayPal and their lack of customer service.
You do not even receive a copy of your service report when you file a site complaint and when they get around to responding, their response has nothing to do with the original complaint. If you respond to their (non)response the it just results in a chain of stupid auto-responses and you have to go back and file a new service report.
Add to that the circle jerk if a customer sends a payment to the wrong paypal address and I am ready to tell paypal to take a hike.
But wait, I am a power-seller and ebay limits me to paypal if I want to accept on-line payments. I am hearing the call more and more to kiss ebay and paypal goodbye!
PS, I love google check. Just wish they would copy me on the actual transaction instead of sending me a link to the google checkout transaction. Sometimes it is a pain finding out which website I received a payment from since I sell on 5 sites now.

I agree LT, The only knock I have against Google is the e-mail doesn't tell you what transaction or buyers info. But like you said, it's "ice cream" compared to PayPal.

I know how to change the bank information,I have tried it many times and after I press enter I get the famous 'OOPS ' page-the page you are looking for is not found,go back to where you come from'.
Then I contacted Google customer service, they said since you just want to change the name of the bank and keep the routing number and bank account the same, there is no need to verifiy your account,so they made my bank account'unaccessible'.
Since my bank account is now 'unaccessible',the $$ would not be transferred to my bank account, thats for sure.
There is no phone support, and the customer service does not work on weekend.
This morning, they emailed me and said they are forwarding my problem to technical support.
Then I searched Google support and found numerous complaints about their infamous 'OOPS' page-when a web shop installed Google checkout and the customer entered the order and press enter, they get an 'OOPS' page saying page not found.
So now I dont feel so bad,I am not the only one who has been 'oops' by Google, but for any one who is considering installing Google checkout, just keep in mind they dont have phone support and they dont work weekend.
Paypal is not perfect, but for 10 years,I have never been 'OOPS'ed.

On Monday,Google customer support forwarded my problem to their engineers.
Today is Wednesday and no words from Google.
So is Google ready to participate on Ebay?
No phone support,no email service on weekend and now with all that hyping on how brilliant Google folks are, they cant solve a simple problem?

I had a customer "Oops" yesterday. First time I had heard of it.
Seems the link google sends to the customer for an invoice is encripted can be up to 250 characters long. Some email servers will truncate it and customer will get an Oops page when they click the email link.
This is BAD thing. Not many customers are going to be willing to jump through hoops to send an online payment, especially customers who are already wary of using their CC on the net.

Nope, they just lock your account, take money at will because they don't verify a thing, good luck with their customer service, all you get is someone with their head up the rear end, no notification e-mails and they blame them on your e-mail program. Sorry, your theory doesn't hold water. Google kicks butt over PayPal hands down.

Stonecold,
How much is Google paying you ,you sound so PATHETICALLY DESPERATE TO DEFEND Google.
good luck to you,I hope they pay your gas bills!
BTW,the latest development is I will hear from their engineers on Friday.
The google checkout email address is rather long, but some customers never make it to the email phase, when they press enter after entering an order, they get an 'OOPS page' which means the order did not go through.

I never been able to get anyone to do a google checkout. I have it on my ecrater store and offer it as "other" on vendio and ebay but can't get any takers. I wish I could because I guess it is still free.
Beth
I have a 90% Google Checkout rate on ecrater and 100% of my international ebay as well. About 20% USA ebay pay with Google.
One thing I need to correct you on though. Google isn't free any more. But it is still much cheaper than PayPal, not to mention 1000% safer.
Do you have your Google box checked? How about your Google Checkout certificate? I ask because I don't even have to tell customers to use it. They just do. My thought is it isn't showing up on the checkout page for one reason or another.

Google is cheaper than Paypal, but it is not free.
Transaction fee is 20 cents and the discount rate is 2%.

You might want to check out what happens when you click on the Google Checkout button after selecting the "Buy" option from the item above.
You get the same thing that "Stop Whining" is saying he's having problems with. That could be the real reason why you aren't having any success in getting people to pay with Google Checkout.
Just a thought...

I took a look at your ad. Very nice job BTW.
My first thought is for you to check your certificate on ecrater to see if it is valid. Or simply get a new one. The reason I state this is I had another sale last night and they paid with Google. In fact, google notified me before ecrater did. That tends me to believe that it might be a certificate problem.

Well,5 working days later Google engineers fixed the OOPS problem in regards to bank account update,BUT
-I was told initially by customer service that since I am just changing the bank name and routing number ,bank account stay the same, there is no need to verify my bank account.
Which means I will have my Google fund deposited in my bank account as soon as tonight.
Now,they are asking me to wait a few days and they will deposit a few cents in my bank account and I need to come back and verify the deposit,so they are treating this as a new bank.
So more delay,it is a small sum ,but can you imagine if this is a large sum and it is delayed up to 14 days?
Vintageads4U,
try entering an order on your site and see if you get the ooops!

Pardon me if I disagree with you. Generally you are incorrect in your asumptions and this is no exception.
