A powerseller friend of mine just asked eBay why all of his feedback for the last year was not included in the calculation. Below is his impression of what this might mean.
"Ebay is going one step further. They are going to start counting all transactions where a buyer does not leave feedback as neutrals."
I sent him a 'you have got to be kidding' email and below is his reply.
"Here is their reply when I emailed them a question about how my feedback was being calculated. They said that to compute the "good feedback percentage" they will be going to a system that calculates all sales divided into the total number of good feedback. That will tell what percentage of your transactions received favorable feedback rather than what percentage of feedback received was good. It will give a clearer picture of your performance as most buyers who do not leave feedback do so because they are unhappy with the transaction."
Keep in mind this is hearsay and may not be what they actually meant. In other words please don't shoot the messenger. (me)

I just wrote to Griff and here is his reply (Copied with his permission!) Louise
<<Hello Louise,
Absolutely false. We would never count feedback were the buyer left none. That would be absurd. When a buyer does not leave feedback (or DSRs) there is absolutely no effect on the seller’s score or percentage. That is how it works and it is not going to change.
Your friend is not quoting an eBay rep (and if he is, I want to see the email because the statement is 100% false)
