Just checked my new percentages and sure enough, I dropped from 100% to 99.8%. One is a negative received as a buyer. Why does this now count when you cannot now leave negatives for buyers?? One is and unfair and unwarranted neutral that I would like to protest. The comments associated with the neutral are positive and the buyer never contacted me. In fact, they were bidding on another of my items. Needless to say, I cancelled their bid and blocked them.
Anyway, how do I protest the neutral??

You don't. Forget about it and move on -- time to have done a possible mutual would have been at the time it was left. Of course, we didn't know then that a neutral would count as a neg. Or I too would have done something about mine!

You could picket at eBay Headquarters.

Let me know a day or two in advance and I'll drive down and join you.

I'll even make the signs.

Isn't it strange that almost everyone who have lost overall percentages on their overall f/b all seem to be about .2% inc mine. Even though i only had 1 neg in the required time. And that was from a non paying bidder.

Yeah the neutrals counting as negatives is really tough to take - but take it we must.

When I finish composing a hot-pink slip about the new feedback rules, to go along with my packing slip, I'm definitely going to let my buyers know on that slip that eBay now considers a neutral a negative, and I'll urge them to contact me to resolve any problems before leaving such feedback.

Problem is how to describe stuff like that without sounding angry or making eBay out to be idiots.

"or making eBay out to be idiots"

What's wrong with the truth?

This is what i am going to send to my customers. Any better ideas welcome. tia.

We are happy to leave a feedback for you, after you have received the parcel and left a feedback for us.Please remember that a neutral f/b is classed as a negative in the score and tally of the feedback. So please dont leave neg or neutral if there is a problem , please talk to us first. Thank you for your help and understanding.

Needless to say, I cancelled their bid and blocked them.

Why would you do that?

This person bought from you in the past. My guess is the paid promptly and now wants to be a repeat customer. And you block him/her. All because of something as stupid as a failing ebay policy. That don't make any sense at all. Don't forget the overall picture. We are all in it to make money, not feedback.

Don't worry about it. In a year it won't even count towards the feedback percentage...

I was upset at first that my 100% feedback went down to 99.75 because of neutrals. I figure that all of us are going to go down in percentages, and there probably won't be many 100% feedbacks out there, so we will all get used to the lower percentages. I have given up worrying about the changes, there is nothing we can do about it, I just want to get on with selling, and whatever happens to my feedback happens. Like most of you, I don't think the feedback option means much anymore.

new feedback system? Bend over seller, pull down pants, take all 6" er maybe 10" up the wazoo.
