I just posted a whole bunch of VHS on Half.com not one that I posted had any listing showing. I've never seen that before. Did all sellers just quit listing on it? I know if I went over to Amazon I would find 300 of everything for 1 cent.

half.com died like a month after ebay bought it and started its own pre-filled information feature.

Try selling those on Amazon--or even eBay. Half.com as we knew it died a long, painful death long ago. It may still be going, but not as it was originally intended.

Ebay was going to kill half.com a few years back. But they found that there was so many suckers willing to post items there that they wanted to suck every penny out of them that they could.

It would appear that eBay never intended to improve or promote half.com and simply reach into the pockets of many listers until they figured out that half.com wasn't going to be a decent selling option any longer. That way they could force all of those items back to ebay as either store items or fixed price.

There's still a lot of stuff on Half. I still look there for books & CD's the prices are usually a little cheaper than Amazon.

I listed a few hundred items years back...haven't added anything to it since. It was mainly stuff at the time that Amazon didn't have in their catalog. Now that Amazon has expanded their numbers, I don't even bother with Half. Amazon will have virtually any book (old or new) in there now.

I still have listings there and I sell about 3 or 4 books a year! I figure it is no maintainence and that is why I have never removed them, but Ebay killed it when they bought it and decided to close it and then decided to keep it open. Ebay has never promoted it or helped it in anyway.

On occasion when I get bored while packing or listing, I will listen to Griff on eBay radio. Seems there was a mention of lack of indexing/outdated item specifics/ISBNs, but supposedly, that is going to be fixed, and sellers will be "delighted" with the change. May be worth keeping an eye out sometime down the road.

I buy and sell on Half.com,I sold a few books and then the music stopped.
But when I am looking for a movie and get outbidded on Ebay,I just buy it on Half.
I have not looked into Half recently so I dont know if anything has changed.

If you do currently sell on Half or Amazon you should go to the Amazon seller boards and read about Athens, OH, Nebraska Books, Industrial Park and canceled orders.
