You can file for FVFs of course. And you should. And then you can set up your block preferences in My eBay Preferences to block bidders with a history of non-payment -- you now have more choices as far as numbers of UPIs and time frame. Sounds like buyer can't pay even for very inexpensive items so presumably she will have enough UPIs to become NARUed.

birgittaw, thanks I know that but it just ticks me off that we as sellers cannot tell the truth about a buyer !!!!!

This example simply shows how important it is for sellers to file for the FVF's when they get that deadbeat.

Personally, if I get those deadbeats, I will continue to file for my FVF's plus I will leave a negative comment in feedback. Just because we have to click the positive doesn't mean we cannot leave a negative comment. Ebay cannot control what we write.

ST0NEC0LD613, yes we have to file for our fees but not just not look at the 100% feed back but scroll down and read we we as sellers have to post under + feedback and read all the negs listed and positive. It's just plain nuts!!!!

Stone: You cannot leave positive feedback with negative comments. Any such FB will be removed by eBay. Better to not leave any FB at all rather than add to the positive score, don't you think?

Do you all really read all the FB for a buyer? I sometimes will check FB left for others, which I think is more telling -- I'd rather deal with a non payer that a nutcase who can't read, doesn't ask questions or look at pictures, and expects something vintage/antique to be newer, bigger, another color ....

The new blocks in place should take care of anyone with excessive UPIs. It does work; had two potentials who were blocked yesterday according to the BB activity log.

"Ebay cannot control what we write."

Wanna bet?

"Feedback comments containing any of the following are not permitted:

*Links or scripts.
*References to eBay or PayPal investigations
*NEGATIVE STATEMENTS THAT CONFLICT WITH A POSITIVE RATING.
*Personally identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or e-mail address
*Political, religious or social commentary rather than a genuine comment about the transaction
*The comment, reply or follow-up references a completely separate transaction or unrelated experience
*Profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist language or adult material
*Inflammatory language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man" etc., while strongly discouraged, will not be removed."

So, ebay says that they "Might" remove it. It still won't stop me from writing the truth.

Go for it. We need a guinea pig.

;-}

"Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

*Listing cancellation
*Limits on account privileges
*Account suspension
*Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
*Loss of PowerSeller status
*Feedback rating and/or comment removal"

But. . . look at this last statement from eBay on feedback:

"Inflammatory language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man" etc., while strongly discouraged, will not be removed."

NOT be removed?! Hmmm.

I surely don't look at all my buyers' feedbacks before dealing with them, but if I'm having trouble with a buyer, I will check and see if I'm not the only one.

I don't care what any buyer says about me, but I DO CARE about how my auctions get into searches.
