You know, the limit of 10 items per seller when searched.
At today's "eBay Workshop: Finding 2.0: Learn about the new Enhancements - May 28" a question was asked regarding the pending 10 item limit which will appear in search.
Here it is -
Question by wjkski:
"I've read that search will be displaying ten (10) items per seller with the same search words. I sell stamps, if I have 25 items with Christmas Seals in the title, will a buyer only be able to find 10 of those items?"
ebay Staff Response:
"I believe you are talking about the removal of the multiple listing limit. This will be true for both eBay.com and on the new search experience.
Basically, if your items have the exact title they will be shown only once. At the point where your item has a bid, it would be considered distinct and would be shown separately from the rest of your items with the exact title.
The limit you reference is per page, per seller. So you each seller can have up to 10 distinct items per page.
You can read more about it in an upcoming Announcement Board post which should be available next week.

That is "better", but not ideal. Is it 10 per seller per page even though some people choose to see 25 items per page and others prefer to see 200?
This could really be a big deal if/when Stores are included in Search. I understand that which 10 items appear would depend on the Search sort option - ending soonest, Best Match, newly listed etc. I guess sellers will have to be careful about listing times.

I think we need to get clarification about what constitutes an "identical title". Word for word identical or key word identical? Can't wait to see the Announcement Board post.

To paraphrase a current saying: "Somewhere there's a village that has lost its idiots." Or, "It takes a whole village of idiots to make one eBay."
