Many times there are requests for info regarding Windows XP sources.

Newegg.com is currently selling Laptops w/Windows XP installed. I purchased 2 Toshibas last week. They are new, factory sealed items.

Dell has Vostro 1000 laptops with XP Professional as well as Vista.

The NewEgg machines only seem to have XP. which is not a bad thing, but sooner or later most of us will be forced to upgrade if we want new peripherals. Which reminds me, I need a new scanner. Hope I can find one with an XP driver.

actually they are already in the process of eliminating Vista and they're going to Windows 7

Anybody not surprised?

If this keeps up I'll have to go back where I started, webtv. Is that still around?

Bill, the "experts" at Best Buy told me you cannot buy a new computer in any store with XP.

Is good help that hard to get that Best has to hire help that if they don't know the answer just make one up.

I would rather "go without" than purchase anything at Best Buy. Nothing more than a group of kids standing around socializing between customers - poorly managed stores.

fluff, my wife is a NICU RN at Long Beach Memorial. The hopsital just switched all charting from paper to a brand new XP based system. Very expensive to introduce and train everyone.

I would think that because of business hold back in switch to Vista, that XP will be around for many more years.
