A local antique store was having a sale and I spotted this lovely vase. I'm NOT a glass expert but looked through several antique books...it looks like it's cameo glass. I thought I'd get some opinions from the experts here before I listed it. It is unsigned. Thanks for any info...

Probably cameo glass, but not antique cameo glass. Cameo glass is made by cutting through layers of differently colored glass to create design. A low grade version uses molded design with enameling. Hard to tell from a photograph which method was used, but the workmanship on this is not that good.

Did they represent it as antique?

Cameo glass reproduction pieces are produced in China, Poland and Romania.

There's some good info here:

Thanks all...I suspect this is a reproduction based on the link and my research. It was represented as an "etched glass vase" so don't think there was any hanky-panky on the part of the seller. I just thought it was pretty and might find a market on eBay...honestly represented, of course. Thanks all!
