I am getting buyers who tell me I will pay by money order, I don't have a Paypal account. You wait two weeks...nothing. Then one fine day out of the blue they pay by Paypal. I have had 3 people do this in the last month. Or you sent the invoice 3 times and maybe they get arount to paying you in a week or so. Why don't they just e-mail me and say I don't get payed until Friday of next week. E-Bay is making the Flea Market a whole lot more attractive. At least when I ask for payment I don't get a bunch of stars dinged and a negative.

Since the new feedback rules, I have had a bunch more late payers and non-payers. Buyers know that they can't receive negs, I hope they find out they can be suspended after 3 NPB filed.

I have had an increase in non-payers, too, but I don't know that it's tied to the new feedback rules.

It's summer, and it seems to me that people get lazier and more distracted with regards to eBay business at this time of year.

I'm just not sure people are saying to themselves, "Well, it doesn't matter if I pay or not because there's nothing she can do to me."

I think it's mostly because of the new FB rules. eBays' got to start feeling the pinch.

I attribute it to the new feedback rules - summers have never been a problem for me with non-pays in the past. Since the changes, I have had at least 5, when I used to average about 5-7 per year! It stinks, particularly when you use listing upgrades that can drive up the cost of relisting.

For me it depends what I am selling. With two accounts, it really makes a difference. One account sells items that generally appeal to a younger audience, which also gets more deadbeat bidders, while my collectibles account tends to appeal to more educated and/or more mature bidders who have at least some grain of ethics in their blood.

I had a bidder want something that had went off, she said she did't have a Paypal account and ask to to run it again without the paypal and check money orders. Haven't heard from her since.
