From the eBay PayPal forum:
http://answercenter.ebay.com/forum.jspa?forumID=9&anticache=1224009644465
We recently sold an item to a person in the Netherlands. After three weeks had passed, the buyer said we shipped the wrong item. All of our inventory is accounted for and we have paperwork stating what was shipped. The buyer filed a paypal dispute and the dispute was immediatly resolved in the buyers favor without our being able to respond. When we contacted paypal, the supervisor we talked to said anytime there is a dispute with Germany and/or the Netherlands it is always found in the buyers favor, however because of the laws in those two countries is is easier for paypal to just pay off the dispute. It did not cost us any money but the buyer in the Netherlands got the item for free. Don't you think this will lead to more dishonesty. All anyone in those countries have to do is file a item not as described and they get it free from paypal. Does not make sense, does it???????????

The ONLY country that I truly DREAD getting bids from is...HOLLAND!
The ONLY Negs I've received came from two totally INSANE Dutch bidders...
It's incomprehensible! Such a WONDERFUL country...But the BIDDRS are total CRANKS!
If only all the DUTCH could TURN JAPANESE before bidding, life would be GRAND!
Oh NO! I've got THAT song stuck in my head now! HELP RALPHIE! Start humming: "I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman" quick!

As Ralphie loves to relate his firm grasp of URBAN LEGENDS, that term ("turning Japanese") was a slang code for...ahem...how shall I put this delicately?
Choking the chicken? Banging the Bishop? Spanking da Monkey?

I've never had a problem with the Netherlands, usually ship at least one item a week to them (knock on wood).

I have a great Netherlands repeat buyer.
Italy is my thorn in the side. It is not the Italian buyers,it is their mafia operated postal system.

turning Japanese is the the same as punching the Munchkin wow! Wonders just never cease. Learn something new everyday.
I have had no issues with Italy since I stop putting custom slips on my items. The Italian custom folks would hold up my shipment for 4-6 weeks and for a ten dollar item just doesn't seem to make sense.
Ralphie has firm grasp on something and it taint urban legends. My Old English Sheepdog is expecting again and Ralphies name came up again as a possible suspect.

Glad you said that LtRay.
Well at least paypal didn't take your money. I've had them revise a dispute for a seller (I was the buyer) and pay it from their funds, not mine. They do have deep pockets after all.
