I have 2 buyers with invalid email addresses. I reported them to eBay, and they said to wait a couple of days, and then get the contact information and see if the address has changed. I have done that, but there is no email address on the contact information. Does anyone know how to check for it?

I would pull the contact info and then use whitepages.com to do a reverse lookup on the street address to get a phone number.

I know that sounds like a lot of work but so is waiting days for a buyer to contact you or leave you a neg for not contacting them.

If they have a bad email address on file with ebay they are not getting their emails. They probably don't think about this and you are the one who gets fried because of it.

As for ebay's response, contact Live Help and try again. I do not think they gave you an acceptable answer to begin with.

Thanks, I didn't even think about that. I don't understand why eBay would tell me to use contact information to see if their information has been updated when they don't even post it.

Can you contact them through MY EBAY?

I have tried that, but if their email address is incorrect, they won't get those either. I tried to find the email address online, but I couldn't find it. One is in Mexico, and appears to be using a business address. They have about 600 good feedbacks, so I can only guess they changed their email address, and forgot to change it on eBay.

I have also had buyers with email address that bounced back to me after I send them so I sent them the information through MY EBAY and this email goes straight to there MY EBAY, not to there email address.

Try it and see how it goes

Thanks tonimar, success with one, payment received. I had sent 4 messages through eBay, so they just must have been tardy about replying. They had better not slam me for "communication"!

amber, maybe if you didn't mention it to them already you might want to let them know that there email address is not receiving mail.

Yes, I have mentioned that each time I wrote, so if they are getting the messages through their My eBay, they should know. I thought that because the messages went to their email address, if it was wrong, they wouldn't receive it. It might be in the "messages", but not everyone checks there.
