A buyer asked me to send him an invoice showing the total due, which is listed in the auction to begin with.

So I went to send him an invoice to begin with I see no SEND button and I can't change the shipping cost. I wanted to give him a lower shipping cost since after packing it his zip code shows it can be shipped cheaper.

Can't make any changes to the invoice, can't send it since I don't see a send button and it doesn't show buyers email just has a clickable link saying contact buyer.....

Anyone else having this problem?

Plus I went to paypal to refund some of the payment that was made and they only let me return all the payment They don't let me return part of the payment. Is this something new also?

Toni: Can you just go to your e-mail and send your own invoice that way?

yes I was signed in

I tried sending him an invoice through the email he sent to me asking me to send him an invoice and I couldn't do it there either.

Well I guess he got one of my emails telling him I can't send him an invoice or change the shipping cost because he went and paid.

But is this something new that ebay is doing?
We always were able to change the invoice but now I can't. I don't usually send invoice my buyers just go and pay when they get the email from ebay so I was surprised to see this change.

Next time send a PayPal invoice.

I just reread your post. It appears that the buyer may have used a eBay coupon for payment. This may explain not being able to do a refund, etc.

Kozersky thanks for that info you might be right.

So what I did was send him funds with the send money feature.

You can't send an Ebay Invoice after the Paypal payment has been sent for the item. There should be an option to refund the payment at the bottom of the Paypal payment page. Just enter the amount you want to refund. I have done this many times.

thanks dorrie, my buyer didn't pay yet when they asked me to send an invoice.

My other buyer paid and paypal didn't give me an option of refunding part of the money, I could have refunded all the money but that was not what I needed to do.
