Sorry if this topic has already been covered. I am listing again on ebay haven't since May. What in the world are these coupons and who gets the discounted money???
I would like to think that ebay is giving buyers a deal and they (ebay) will still give us the sellers the final price minus costs.
Anyone have a clue where I can find the ebay email or announcement about this?

I never got the coupons but I have to say that the Microsoft Live Search Cash Back deal is really great! Sellers get all their money (they probably don't know that buyer will get cashback) and buyers get (currently) 25% cash back in 60 days. They say the delay is to allow for returns.
I have used it to buy Forever US Postage Stamps (30% cash back) and winter boots (25%).
To qualify items must be BIN and paid through PayPal WITHOUT third party checkout (that's the tricky part - you often don't find out about the 3rd party checkouts until you are just about to commit to buy) and ebay must first be accessed via an ebay paid search ad on the Live Search Site (don't have to buy the same item - just get to ebay via the link and then do a search or put in an item number in search box). The microsoft live discount will be shown on the page.

The Microsoft Live Search Cash Back is a good deal for BIN but you can't use it for auctions.
I am not sure how ebay determines who gets the coupons but I received the 10% coupon for 2 accounts and the 3rd account did not get one this month.
Sellers receive the full price for their listing and usually will not notice the buyer used a coupon until you try to refund a partial payment. When the buyer uses a coupon you can only refund full payments.

Interesting! I couldn't find ebay cashback on the MS search today but I know I found it yesterday morning because I was thinking about using it to buy a camera.

good to hear the news. you are correct. cashback does not work with best offer. in general cashback is working really well for us now, we are seeing lots of sales as a result. we also recently launched a version of cashback where we send traffic directly to your ebay store as well.

we are making some changes this weekend that should make cashback easier to use and more visible.

Maybe it will come back.
