I was in a Delaware casino the other day and the new big slot machine was Ebay themed - it has a huge screen and seats 5 players and they get a group bonus round at random intervals. Very flashy and colorful and loud - people were waiting for seats for it. Looked like fun - nice way to get the Ebay name out there but don't you wonder if people will equate buying on Ebay to being a gamble? Wasn't that the image they were trying to change?

We were in Las Vegas in November and stayed at the Golden Nugget.
The eBay machine quickly became my favourite. The 'Bonus' rounds were amazing and although they are a 'penny' machine the minimum bet is 50 cents. I quickly won $77.00 and a few minutes later $45.00.
Over a period of 5 days I probably put between $75-$100 in that machine and took out over $350! Told my DH he could just leave me there as I was making more money than on the 'real' eBay.
It was fun, very entertaining and had some neat and different features.
Unlike the ones that Caroline saw, these were not busy. Like eBay they are quite complicated as you are playing against the clock but many folks didn't realise that and left the machines after a few spins ( it took me three times of playing them before I understood them).

I noticed them in a couple of the casinos around here too. Not sure how long they have been there as I generally don't gamble. (They have some of the best restaurants though).

The bonus round I saw had some people winning over $300 on the penny machines - I should have waited for a seat to open up. Don't knock the penny machines, I won $1,800 on one a couple of years ago on a $0.60 bet. This one did look fun, you have to play fast to multiply the bonus wins, but boy those pennies sure can add up!

I agree, Caroline. A man next to me was playing so fast he won 3X the bonus a couple of times. I am so NOT a gambler I have a hard time even playing 50 cents!
We only play penny machines and have a lot of fun for a lot less money than people who play the higher value machines.
We do have a Casino in our area (BC Canada)but we only went there twice. It was truly boring!
The Canadian Casinos are so over-regulated that they even charge $1.50 for a cup of coffee in ours!
We go down to Washington State about 4 times a year to shop the Outlet Stores and to eat at the Casino Seafood Buffets and to lose a few $ at the penny machines. We find it to be a really cheap evening out.

Hey...neat photo! That looks familiar and so much fun!
Each of those machines is a different Category ie: Collectibles, Fashion, eBay Motors etc: The Bonus is spun on the big screen and the winnings total up on the two screens either side.

I just got back from Vegas today, and played this on my trip. I spent a couple of hours playing, never had to put in more than my original $20 and walked away with $40 and spent a couple of hours having fun and meeting new people. It was fun, and no, it doesn't take paypal. That would be funny!

What a crock. PayPal forces us to take PayPal. I think we should force the Casinos to take PayPal on that slot machine.
Let's protest.

I found the ebay machines in Oregon but didn't get to play very long. Put $20 in a penny machine and it was gone in less than 10 mins betting one credit per line.
